The principle of SH0689 Ultraviolet fluorescence sulfur meter was determined by ultraviolet fluorescence method.
It conforms to ASTM D5453, SH/T 0689-2000 and is suitable for the determination of total sulfur content in crude oil, distillate oil, liquefied petroleum gas, plastics, petrochemical products and food.
After the sample was introduced into the high-temperature cracking furnace, the sample underwent pyrolysis oxidation reaction.
At about 1000℃, the sample was completely gasified and oxidized, and the sulfide was quantitatively converted to sulfur dioxide.
The reaction gas is carried by carrier gas, and the water in it is removed by the membrane dryer and enters the reaction chamber.
Sulfur dioxide is exposed to certain wavelengths of ultraviolet light, and its absorption turns some electrons into high-energy orbits.
Once the electrons are returned to their original orbits, the excess energy is released in the form of light, which is detected and received by a photomultiplier tube at a specific wavelength. The emitted fluorescence is completely specific to the sulfur and is proportional to the sulfur content of the original sample.
After amplification by microcurrent amplifier and data processing by computer, it can be converted into an electrical signal proportional to the light intensity, and the sulfur content of the corresponding sample can be calculated by measuring its size.
Scope of application: it is suitable for the determination of total sulfur content in gasoline, diesel oil, lubricating oil, crude oil, distillate oil, liquefied petroleum gas, gas, natural gas, plastics, petrochemical products, food, coal, etc.
