ST-13A Automatic potential drop point meter
The ST-13A automatic potentiometric titrator is designed according to the second method of GB5009.229-2016 "Determination of Acid Value in Foods", the cold solvent automatic potentiometric titration method, and GB5009.227-2023 "Determination of Peroxide Value in Foods" and other standards.
The instrument uses potentiometric titration to automatically distinguish the endpoint of titration and calculate the result automatically. This instrument is suitable for the determination of acid value in various samples such as food acid value. The determination of acid value is one of the important indicators for judging the quality of edible oil. The titration system adopts imported components, which are processed from corrosion-resistant materials, with accurate instrument measurement results and long service life.

Potentiometric titration method for determining acid value reagents(Self provided reagents):
Reagent:
Isopropanol (C3H8O)
C4H10O
Anhydrous C4H10O
Light petroleum, boiling range of 30 ℃ -60 ℃
Reagent preparation:
●Potassium hydroxide standard titration aqueous solution with a concentration of 0.1mol/L, prepared and calibrated according to the requirements of GB/T601 standard, or commercially available reagents can be purchased.
●C4H10O isopropanol mixture: C4H10O+isopropanol=1+1500ml of C4H10O and 500ml of isopropanol are thoroughly miscible and mixed, and prepared on site when needed.
Potentiometric titration method peroxide value reagent (prepared by oneself) (excerpted from national standards):
Reagent:
●Ice acetic acid( CH3COOH )
●Isooctane( C8H18 )
●Potassium iodide( KI )
●Sodium thiosulfate.( Na2S2O3• 5H2O)
●Potassium dichromate: working standard reagent.( K2Cr2O7 )
Reagent preparation:
9.2.1 Isooctane glacial acetic acid mixture (40+60): Measure 40 mL of isooctane, add 60 mL, and mix with glacial acetic acid.
9.2.2 Potassium iodide saturated solution: Weigh 20g of potassium iodide, add 10mL of freshly boiled and cooled water, mix well, and store in a brown bottle in a dark place for later use. Ensure the presence of saturated potassium iodide crystals in the solution. Pre use inspection: in 30 mL of isooctane acetic acid mixture.
Add 0.5mL of potassium iodide saturated solution and 2 drops of 1% starch indicator to (9.2.1). If a blue color appears, it needs to be eliminated with at least 1 drop of 0.01mol/1 sodium thiosulfate solution This solution should be reconfigured.
9.3 Standard solution preparation
9.3.1 0.1 mol/L Sodium Thiosulfate Standard Solution: Weigh 26 g of sodium thiosulfate and add 0.2 g of anhydrous sodium carbonate, dissolve in 100 ml of water and slowly boil for 10 minutes to cool. Filter and calibrate after two weeks of storage.
9.3.2 0.01 mol/L sodium thiosulfate standard solution: made by diluting 9.3.1 with newly boiled and cooled water. Prepare before use.
